I’ve learned what it means to want to work for a company that takes care of its employees, its customers, and the planet, a standard which I will carry with me as I graduate and start the search for full-time employment.

Filling out applications and interviewing for internships can sometimes be incredibly nerve-racking. You might wonder if you have what it takes to competently work in the professional world, questioning if your current knowledge and skills will be enough.

When I saw that Ecolink was a technical writing internship and I knew that my technical writing skills were subpar, I jumped on the opportunity to become one of the company’s interns.

This completes my journey at Ecolink as an intern. It has been a journey of growth and learning, which I assume is the case for every one that went through it with me.

When I first learned about the Ecolink internship, it caught my interest to say the least. I’ve always been passionate about the environment, so working with a company that emphasizes environmental issues and sustainability like Ecolink is a big priority for me.

Now that the spring internship is coming to an end, I am reflecting on all the skills I have learned and the connections that I’ve made while interning for the company. Before this internship, I knew very little about SEO and did not have any formal experience with writing outside of academics.

Working as an intern for Ecolink turned out to be much more interesting and valuable than I expected.Once I researched what the company did, I remembered why I had applied.

During my sophomore year, I had been hoping to find an internship for the following summer, so I was overjoyed when I was hired as one of Ecolink’s SEO Writing Interns. This internship definitely met my expectations of what a remote summer internship would involve.

I definitely feel that my Digital Marketing Internship met my expectations. I was able to do everything that the description on Chegg detailed and more, all the while learning beneficial information on SEO and various e-commerce practices.
